【筆試】

警校入學考並不考專業科目，僅簡單測試您的語文寫作能力。

2. 段落寫作:描述您的工作經歷等，寫兩頁，了解您是否可以寫出像樣的報告。

【教育程度】

高中學歷，或學士學位。在校成績盡量高一點。

【身體敏捷性測試】

每個機關對身體敏捷性測試要求可能各自不同，平常要自我鍛鍊。

【身家背景調查】

取得您的信用調查報告

關於信用調查報告資訊可上美國聯邦貿易委員會(Federal Trade Commission)網站www.ftc.gov 查詢相關訊息。

【前科紀錄】

掃描指紋取代紙張指紋，線上查詢您以前是否有遭逮捕或定罪等犯罪記錄。

【推薦人】

記錄下曾和您一起工作過的人的姓名，請寫下日期、地址、電話號碼、工作描述等。您只需要記錄對您有幫助的人的姓名資料即可，這些人對您以後的工作推薦等將有所幫助。盡量追溯到您第一份工作，並將資訊保存在安全的地方。

【安全申報】

如果您曾經出國旅遊，請列出所有國外旅行之地點、原因、停留時間、在國外與誰聯繫等。

您可能不會一次就申請到理想的機關，請為每個申請機構都設置一個資料夾。

【良好的家庭紀錄】

若您曾經判決必須支付小孩生活費，您必須完全同意法院要求並簽署相關文件。另外有一點要注意的是，自1998年起美國各州均規定警校新生絕不能有家暴紀錄，即便是輕微的家暴違反、逮捕或判決紀錄都會讓您無法錄取。

【體檢】

體脂肪比例：

女性: 小於30%

男性: 小於22%

40歲以上須接受心肺壓力測試12分鐘(跑步)。

藥物濫用測試。

色盲辯色能力測試

Some law enforcement agencies issue credit cards to their agents.

* Livescan fingerprints replace paper fingerprint see if your have previous crime records, arrest and conviction.

*keep a record of names of people that you work with.

Dates, addresses, phone numbers, job descriptions.

Go back as far as your first job, and keep this information in a safe place.

You only need the names of those who are favorable toward you.

Security clearance.

If you travel abroad, make a list of all foreing travel: where, why, for how long, who you contacted.

You may not be selected by the agencies that you want to work for.

Keep individual folders for each agency that you apply with.

You must be current on your child support payment and conditions.

No domestic violence allowed.

* Medical Examination

Body fact.

* Over 40 received cardiac stress test 12 minutes long.

* A drug test may be required at any time.

* Color deficiency test. Distinguish the colors between numbers.
